(PRWeb UK) February 16, 2010 -- Army Cadets across the country are supporting today’s launch of Cadet150, a year of celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the cadet movement.A spokesperson for Army Cadets said: “We are delighted to be celebrating 150 years of this fantastic movement. The Cadet Forces offer such great opportunities for thousands of young people across the UK. We are encouraging people to find out more through Cadet150 – come along and Live the Adventure!”
Her Majesty The Queen is Patron of Cadet150, a programme of over 150 events taking place all over the country throughout 2010 all reflecting the spirit of fun, excitement, adventure and community service at the heart of the cadet movement. Together with His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, she is receiving 26 specially-selected Cadet Ambassadors at Buckingham Palace on 17 February in support of the launch. On 6 July over 1,500 cadets drawn from across the UK will participate in a royal review at the Palace as the year’s central commemorative event. Read More |
