Headline: Creative Announces Vado HD Pocket Cam Momentum Film Contest
Summary: Film Students Can Create the Ultimate Short Film Using a Vado HD Pocket Cam for the Chance to Win Thousands of Dollars in Cash and Prizes and Film and Marketing Internships
(Vocus) November 10, 2009 -- Creative is proud to announce the Vado HD Pocket Cam Momentum Film Contest, where film students can shoot a short film using a Vado HD and have their work judged by an expert panel from the film industry, including acclaimed filmmakers Phillip Noyce and Barbara Kopple. “We are very excited about the prestigious panel of judges and the number of top film schools that are participating in the Vado HD Pocket Cam Momentum film contest,” said Tim Martin, VP of sales and marketing at Creative. “We chose the theme of ‘A Moment Can Change Everything’ because the Vado line of products really lends itself to capturing spontaneous moments. We are really looking forward to seeing the creativity that the next batch of up-and-coming filmmakers exhibit through their Vado HD videos.”

The rules are simple. The film must be shot entirely on the Vado HD, however students can create the soundtrack any way they want. Vado HD units are available on loan from the film school camera departments of participating schools. Students from schools not registered to participate can apply for a loaner unit by filling out the participating student form located at http://www.vadofilmcontest.com/home/student.aspx. Students will then post their finished films to YouTube and submit them to Creative for approval. Once approved, the entries will be posted to www.vadofilmcontest.com and students will be ready to promote their films. Students can choose to use the promotional vehicles directly on the Vado Film Contest web site or via any other promotional method. Entries will be accepted until December 10, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific, however voting begins as soon as entries are posted, so the sooner a video is submitted and approved, the longer students will have to promote their film and increase the number of views. Voting ends on January 31, 2010 and winners will be announced on February 8, 2010.      Read More
