Mike Gagnon - A rising star in writing and publish

Professional writer and publisher Mike Gagnon is making waves in the publishing industry in many new and unexpected ways.
In November of 2005 his graphic novel, Monkeys & Midgets, illustrated by Nelson Danielson, was included as part of the Open Book Press (a company he co-owns) line of graphic novels which were distributed by Hollywood Connection to the celebrities attending the 2005 American Music Awards as a part of their annual celebrity gift bafs.
This success and exposure was followed up by Hollywood Connection again using his work as part of the gift bags for "The night of 100 stars", the official celebrity recieving party for Oscar award winners and nominees held on March 5th. In this case it was Gagnon's how-to manual about how to get your own book or work published that was given as a gift to the celebrities.
Now in summer of 2006 Gagnon and his company are leading a new revolution in the comic book and graphic novel industry by producing a line of comic books that are book store friendly and can be sold in traditional book stores and chains, on shelves alongside traditional books and larger graphic novel competitors.
